As of the [[census]]<ref name ="wwwcensusgov">{{cite web|title=U.S. Census website|url=https://www.census.gov|publisher=[[United States Census Bureau]]|access-date=2012-11-13}}</ref> of 2010, there were 315 people, 134 households, and 78 families living in the city. The [[population density]] was {{convert|112.9|PD/sqmi|PD/km2|1}}. There were 145 housing units at an average density of {{convert|52.0|/sqmi|/km2|1}}. The racial makeup of the city was 97.5% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 1.0% [[African American (U.S. Census)|African American]], 0.6% [[Native American (U.S. Census)|Native American]], and 1.0% from two or more races. [[Hispanic (U.S. Census)|Hispanic]] or [[Latino (U.S. Census)|Latino]] of any race were 1.3% of the population.

There were 134 households, of which 30.6% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 49.3% were [[Marriage|married couples]] living together, 7.5% had a female householder with no husband present, 1.5% had a male householder with no wife present, and 41.8% were non-families. 35.8% of all households were made up of individuals, and 20.2% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.35 and the average family size was 3.00.

The median age in the city was 45.1 years. 23.5% of residents were under the age of 18; 7.3% were between the ages of 18 and 24; 19% were from 25 to 44; 32% were from 45 to 64; and 18.1% were 65 years of age or older. The gender makeup of the city was 49.2% male and 50.8% female.

As of the [[census]]<ref name="GR2" /> of 2000, there were 314 people, 132 households, and 76 families living in the city.  The population density was {{convert|114.1|PD/sqmi|PD/km2|sp=us|adj=off}}.  There were 136 housing units at an average density of {{convert|49.4|/sqmi|/km2|sp=us|adj=off}}.  The racial makeup of the city was 96.50% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 0.64% [[African American (U.S. Census)|African American]], 0.32% [[Asian (U.S. Census)|Asian]], 1.27% from [[Race (United States Census)|other races]], and 1.27% from two or more races. [[Hispanic (U.S. Census)|Hispanic]] or [[Latino (U.S. Census)|Latino]] of any race were 1.27% of the population.

There were 132 households, out of which 27.3% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 45.5% were [[Marriage|married couples]] living together, 10.6% had a female householder with no husband present, and 42.4% were non-families. 40.2% of all households were made up of individuals, and 18.9% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.  The average household size was 2.38 and the average family size was 3.20.

In the city, the population was spread out, with 28.0% under the age of 18, 6.4% from 18 to 24, 30.6% from 25 to 44, 21.0% from 45 to 64, and 14.0% who were 65 years of age or older.  The median age was 37 years. For every 100 females, there were 98.7 males.  For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 89.9 males.

The median income for a household in the city was $36,250, and the median income for a family was $46,875. Males had a median income of $35,313 versus $31,250 for females.
