==Death== Maynard died of [[stomach cancer]] in 1973 at the [[Motion Picture & Television Country House and Hospital|Motion Picture Home]] in [[Woodland Hills, California]].<ref>{{Cite web|url=https://www.nytimes.com/1973/03/25/archives/ken-maynard-of-westerns-dies-bashful-and-wholesome.html|title=Ken Maynard of Westerns Dies|date=25 March 1973|access-date=8 August 2021|website=[[The New York Times]]}}</ref> He was interred at Forest Lawn Cypress Cemetery, in [[Cypress, California]]. Maynard's funeral is described in detail in James Horwitz's book ''[[They Went Thataway]]''.<ref name="Horwitz, James 1978"/> For his contribution to the motion picture industry, Ken Maynard has a star on the [[Hollywood Walk of Fame]] at 6751 Hollywood Blvd.{{Citation needed |date=June 2024}}
