Rail service runs on 10-minute headways on weekdays and 12-minute headways on weekends.<ref name=sept28 />

Service is provided by [[List of San Francisco Municipal Railway lines#Owl bus lines|overnight Owl buses]] during the hours that rail service is not running. The ''L Owl'' bus serves the full length of the route, as well as along [[Embarcadero (San Francisco)|The Embarcadero]] to [[Fisherman's Wharf, San Francisco|Fisherman's Wharf]].
