=== Desert Eagle Pistol ===
MRI was responsible for the design and development of the [[Desert Eagle]] pistol.<ref name="Taffin2">{{cite journal | last = Taffin| first = John | author-link = John Taffin| title = The Desert Eagle of Magnum Research| journal = Guns Magazine| volume = 30| issue = 8| year = 2005}}</ref>  The design was refined and for some time the pistols were also manufactured by [[Israel Military Industries]] (IMI) until 1995, when MRI shifted the manufacturing contract and license to [[Saco Defense]] in [[Saco, Maine]].<ref>{{Cite web|url=https://www.magnumresearch.com/company-history/|title = Company History &#124; Magnum Research, Inc. &#124; Desert Eagle pistols and BFR revolvers}}</ref> In 1998 MRI shifted manufacturing back to IMI, which later reorganized under the name [[Israel Weapon Industries]]. Since 2009 the Desert Eagle Pistol has been exclusively produced in the USA only, at MRI’s Pillager, Minnesota facility.
