The school changed its name to Lee Manor High School in the early 1990s and closed in 2000. Many of Netherley's flats and maisonettes were demolished between 1983 and 1985 to make way for new houses. Lee Valley Housing took over management of council properties in 2003, making improvements to 1,700 homes.<ref name=40years />
