==Specifications== [[File:Apple Macintosh Powerbook Duo 2300c.jpg|thumbnail|Apple Macintosh PowerBook Duo 2300c, built between 1995 and 1997]] The 200βseries Duos were powered by either [[Motorola 68030]] or [[Motorola 68040|68LC040]] processors, ranging from 25β33 MHz. When Apple debuted its next-generation [[PowerPC]] processors in 1994, it took over a year for the first PowerPC Duo (the 2300c) to debut. The original [[PowerPC 600|PowerPC 601]], like the original [[Motorola 68040|68040]] before it, produced too much heat and consumed too much power for Apple to use in any laptop but, by the end of 1995, the more efficient [[PowerPC 600|PowerPC 603e]] had been developed, which was featured in the Duo 2300c and its full-size companion, the [[PowerBook 5300]] series. The PowerPC 603e was designed for a 64-bit bus, but was engineered by Apple to run on an older 32-bit bus to maintain compatibility with the Duo Docks. This led to poor system and video performance. {{All are obsolete}} {| class="wikitable mw-collapsible" style="font-size:small; text-align:center" |- ! colspan=2 | Models<ref>{{Citation |title=Apple Macintosh PowerBook Duo Specs (Mac PowerBook Duo Specs): EveryMac.com |url=https://everymac.com/systems/apple/powerbook_duo/index-powerbook-duo.html |access-date=2022-07-26}}</ref> ! style="background:#FF9999" | [[PowerBook Duo 210]]<ref>{{Cite web |title=Macintosh PowerBook Duo 210: Technical Specifications |url=https://support.apple.com/kb/SP154 |publisher=[[Apple Inc.]] |access-date=2022-09-21}}</ref> ! style="background:#FF9999" | [[PowerBook Duo 230]]<ref>{{Cite web |title=Macintosh PowerBook Duo 230: Technical Specifications |url=https://support.apple.com/kb/SP155 |publisher=[[Apple Inc.]] |access-date=2022-09-21}}</ref> ! style="background:#FF9999" | PowerBook Duo 250<ref>{{Cite web |title=Macintosh PowerBook Duo 250: Technical Specifications |url=https://support.apple.com/kb/SP156 |publisher=[[Apple Inc.]] |access-date=2022-09-21}}</ref> ! style="background:#FF9999" | PowerBook Duo 270c<ref>{{Cite web |title=Macintosh PowerBook Duo 270c: Technical Specifications |url=https://support.apple.com/kb/SP157 |publisher=[[Apple Inc.]] |access-date=2022-09-21}}</ref> ! style="background:#FF9999" | PowerBook Duo 280<ref>{{Cite web |title=Macintosh PowerBook Duo 280: Technical Specifications |url=https://support.apple.com/kb/SP158 |publisher=[[Apple Inc.]] |access-date=2022-09-21}}</ref> ! style="background:#FF9999" | PowerBook Duo 280c<ref>{{Cite web |title=Macintosh PowerBook Duo 280c: Technical Specifications |url=https://support.apple.com/kb/SP159 |publisher=[[Apple Inc.]] |access-date=2022-09-21}}</ref> ! style="background:#FF9999" | PowerBook Duo 2300c<ref>{{Cite web |title=Macintosh PowerBook Duo 2300c: Technical Specifications |url=https://support.apple.com/kb/SP172 |publisher=[[Apple Inc.]] |access-date=2022-09-21}}</ref> |- ! rowspan=2 | Timetable !
