[[Haeckel]]'s drawing shows the internal network of filaments from the parasite.]] Adult rhizocephalans lack [[appendage]]s, [[segmentation (biology)|segmentation]], and all internal organs except [[gonad]]s, a few muscles, and the remains of the [[nervous system]].
