==Native range==
The signal crayfish is endemic to [[North America]] west of the [[Rocky Mountains]], including the [[Provinces and territories of Canada|Canadian province]] of [[British Columbia]], and the [[U.S. state]]s of [[Washington (state)|Washington]], [[Oregon]], and [[Idaho]].<ref name="Fetzner">{{cite web|author=James W.
