The Strathbogie Football Club appears to have played its first match of [[Australian Rules]] football in 1893 against Gooram,<ref>{{cite web |title=1893 - Football |url=https://trove.nla.gov.au/newspaper/article/65532911 |publisher=Euroa Advertiser (Vic) |access-date=25 March 2024 |page=3 |date=9 June 1893}}</ref> prior to entering a team in the Euroa District Football Association in 1905.
