As with many other rich galaxy clusters, Virgo's [[intracluster medium]] is filled with a hot, rarefied [[plasma (physics)|plasma]] at temperatures of 30 million [[kelvin]]s that emits [[X-Rays]].<ref name="Lea1982">{{cite journal
