==Geography==
Wahkon is in northeastern Mille Lacs County. Minnesota Highway [[Minnesota State Highway 27|27]] passes through the city as its Main Street, leading northeast {{convert|3|mi|0}} to [[Isle, Minnesota|Isle]] and southwest {{convert|9|mi|0}} to [[Onamia, Minnesota|Onamia]].

According to the [[U.S. Census Bureau]], the city of Wahkon has a total area of {{convert|0.96|sqmi|sqkm|2}}, of which {{convert|0.007|sqmi|3}}, or 0.73%, are water.<ref name ="CenPopGazetteer2023"/> The city sits on the south and east shore of Wahkon Bay on the south side of [[Mille Lacs Lake]].
