===Folger Consort=== Folger Consort is the library's resident [[early music]] ensemble, founded in 1977 by its artistic directors Robert Eisenstein and Christopher Kendall.<ref name=Grant2014-195/> The Consort performs [[medieval music]], [[Renaissance music]], and [[baroque music]] in its concert series. The Consort performs regularly at the Elizabethan Theatre, at the [[Washington National Cathedral]] and at the Music Center at [[Strathmore (Maryland)|Strathmore]]. The Consort also holds seminars, discussions, and radio broadcasts.
