Through the importation of gas cylinders from other provinces, many private gas contractors offer gas cylinders. The LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) Air Mix Plant project by [[Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited]] was unveiled in 2020, with the goal of bringing the gas facility to Gilgit. This will significantly reduce [[deforestation]], as the public now uses wood from trees for heating and lighting purpose.
