== Replacement == [[XML]] and [[HTML]] standards, with the [[CSS]] standard, since [[CSS2]] ([http://www.w3.org/TR/CSS21/page.html paged media] module) starts to supply basic features to printed media. With the [http://www.w3.org/TR/css3-page/ CSS Paged Media Module Level 3], W3C is completing the formulation of an integrated standard for document formatting and to generate PDFs. So, since 2013,<ref name="w3cClosed"/> CSS3-paged is a W3C proposal for an XSL-FO replacement.
