Singh married Princess Sita Kumari, the daughter of the Raja of Deogarh-Madaria, Rajasthan, on his 24th birthday. It was an arranged marriage and she was 18. Kumari was a [[Sisodia Dynasty|Sisodia]] Rajput descended from [[Maharana Pratap]] of [[Udaipur]].
