The cheapness and availability of used Minis make it a candidate for body replacement. [[List of Mini-based cars|There are over 120]] Mini-based [[kit car]]s from various small companies and individual enthusiasts.

The Outspan Orange is probably one of the most unusual. It was designed and built by Brian Waite Enterprises of Bodiam, East Sussex in 1972 to promote fruit.
