In South Africa, condominiums are known as "Sectional Title" properties and are governed by the Sectional Titles Act No. 95 of 1986.<ref name=SectionalTitlesAct>{{cite web|title=SECTIONAL TITLES ACT NO. 95 OF 1986|url=http://csg.dla.gov.za/act95_86.htm|work=Chief Surveyor General of the South African Government|access-date=8 February 2013}}</ref>  Town-house complexes and many apartment blocks typically have this form of title.{{citation needed|date=November 2022}} The owners of the complex constitute the Body Corporate, and the Body Corporate elects a group of Trustees to manage the day-to-day management of the complex, who often hire a company specialising in complex management, known as a Managing Agent. {{citation needed|date=November 2022}}
