===Peru=== The Changing of the Guard is a major tourist attraction at the Government Palace. It is a daily event that takes place at noon. On the first and third Sundays of the month the Mariscal Domingo Nieto Cavalry Regiment Escort conducts a formal mounted Changing of the Guard ceremony in the presence of the President of Peru, while on other days, the Changing of the Guard is performed unmounted. Since 2007, participation in the ceremony has been opened to all of the Armed Forces and the National Police, represented by their historical and ceremonial honour guard units.
