===Haleplibahçe museum complex=== {{main|Şanlıurfa Museum}} [[File:Urfa museum Building 5080.jpg|thumb|Exterior of the Şanlıurfa Museum]] The Haleplibahçe museum complex (Turkish: Haleplibahçe Müze Kompleksi) is located near Balıklıgöl and occupies a 40-hectare area.<ref name="Ertuğrul 2015">{{cite web |last1=Ertuğrul |first1=Erman |title=Urfa'da Haleplibahçe Müze Kompleksi Açıldı |url=https://arkeofili.com/?p=4486 |website=Arkeofili |access-date=30 November 2022 |format=Web |date=2015}}</ref> It consists of two museums: the [[Şanlıurfa Museum]] and the Haleplibahçe Mosaic Museum.<ref name="Ertuğrul 2015"/> The Şanlıurfa Museum was originally founded in 1965 and moved to its present location in 2015.<ref name="Müze">{{cite web |title=Şanlıurfa Museum |url=https://muze.gov.tr/muze-detay?sectionId=SUM02&distId=SUM |website=müze.gov.tr |access-date=30 November 2022}}</ref> With over 34,000 square meters of indoor space, it is the largest museum in Turkey.<ref name="Ertuğrul 2015"/> It has 14 exhibition halls and 33 animation areas<ref name="Müze"/> and houses some 10,000 artefacts from the Paleolithic through Islamic times.<ref name="Ertuğrul 2015"/> This includes finds from Göbekli Tepe, Harran, and the areas now inundated by the Atatürk Dam.<ref name="Müze"/> As for the Haleplibahçe Mosaic Museum, it was built ''[[in situ]]'' on the top of where the Haleplibahçe mosaics were originally found.<ref name="Müze"/> Among the mosaics on display here is the oldest known mosaic to depict the [[Amazons]].<ref name="Müze"/>
