==In cross-cultural research== Factor analysis is a frequently used technique in cross-cultural research. It serves the purpose of extracting [[Hofstede's cultural dimensions theory|cultural dimensions]]. The best known cultural dimensions models are those elaborated by [[Geert Hofstede]], [[Ronald Inglehart]], [[Christian Welzel]], [[Shalom H. Schwartz|Shalom Schwartz]] and Michael Minkov.
