==Conservation==
In India, the commercial harvest and transportation of sea cucumbers has been strictly banned under Schedule I of the [[Wild Life (Protection) Act, 1972]] (WLPA) since 2001. In 2020, the Indian government created the world's first sea cucumber conservation area, the [[Dr. K.K.
