==Climate==
Ambato has a [[subtropical highland climate]] ([[Köppen climate classification]] ''Cfb'') with mild afternoons and cool nights all year long due to its elevation of 2400 m above sea level and location near the equator. Its climate is similar to other Andean cities in Ecuador, such as Quito or Cuenca.
