As a programming example for the new [[{{not a typo|.NET}} Framework|{{not a typo|.NET}}]] platform and [[Visual Basic {{not a typo|.NET}}]] programming language, in 2001 Microsoft developed a game called {{Proper name|''Donkey .NET''}} in [[Homage (arts)|homage]] to ''DONKEY.BAS''. It is a three-dimensional driving game in which the aim is to hit donkeys.
