The front vowels {{IPA|/i/}} and {{IPA|/e/}} have centralized variants {{IPAblink|ï}} and {{IPAblink|ë}} immediately following a plain alveolar consonant, e.g. {{transliteration|myv|siń}} {{IPA|[sïnʲ]}} "they", {{transliteration|myv|seń}} {{IPA|[sënʲ]}} "blue".
