Shuster was married to Ruth Shuster {{circa|1943}}, and had two children, Rosie and Steve. [[Rosie Shuster]] (b. 1946) was a comedy writer for ''[[Saturday Night Live]]'' and other television programs, and former wife of [[Lorne Michaels]].
