==Service history== On 26 February 2009, the Norwegian government decided to deploy ''Fridtjof Nansen'' to the [[Gulf of Aden]], thereby participating in the ongoing [[Operation Atalanta]], the European Union's counter-piracy campaign in [[Somalia]].
