==Environment==
There is an islet called [[Gavdopoula]] (Γαυδοπούλα, "little Gavdos") to the north west of Gavdos. Gavdos and Gavdopoula are covered with [[garrigue|phrygana]] (φρύγανα), low-lying shrubs.
