Due to its positioning in the South [[Pacific Ocean]], the Samoan archipelago is frequently hit by [[tropical cyclones]] between November and April. Samoa has a trade-wind [[tropical rainforest climate]] ([[Köppen climate classification|Köppen]] ''Af''), with an average annual temperature of {{convert|26.5|°C|°F|1|disp=or}}.
