From September to February, the weather in Manipal is [[tropical]] with daily temperatures averaging {{convert|27|°C|°F}}. From June to mid October, Manipal witnesses one of the most extreme [[monsoon]]s in the world, with the annual precipitation ranging from {{convert|500|-|560|cm|abbr=on}}.
