There was major [[2011 Musselshell River flood|flooding on the Musselshell River]] in May 2011. On May 26 the flooding inundated portions of [[Roundup, Montana|Roundup]].{{r|msnbc}} Cresting and flow rate records were set along several sections of the river, such as [[Mosby, Montana|Mosby]] and Shawmut, near [[Harlowton, Montana|Harlowton]].{{r|bg1}}{{r|cbs}} The crest of the flood at {{convert|14.16|ft|m}}, more than {{convert|4|ft|m}} over flood state, exceeded the record previously set in 1975.{{r|bg2}}
