(Beams of light also exhibit properties described as [[orbital angular momentum of light]]). The angular momentum of the photon has two possible values, either {{mvar|+Δ§}} or {{mvar|βΔ§}}. These two possible values correspond to the two possible pure states of [[circular polarization]].
