====Yarmukian Culture====
Archaeological Stratum XX in Tel Megiddo began around [[5000 BCE]] during the [[Neolithic]].<ref name="Cline, Eric">Cline, Eric, (2020). [https://www.degruyter.com/database/EBR/entry/MainLemma_2744/html "Megiddo"], in Encyclopedia of the Bible and Its Reception, Vol. 18, De Gruyter.</ref> The first [[Yarmukian culture]] remains were found at this level in 1930s excavations, but they were not recognized as such then.
