====Quantity==== Enzyme production ([[Transcription (genetics)|transcription]] and [[Translation (genetics)|translation]] of enzyme genes) can be enhanced or diminished by a cell in response to changes in the cell's environment. This form of [[regulation of gene expression|gene regulation]] is called [[enzyme induction]].
