On 15 November, 2022 footage appearing to show the IRIS-T system shooting down two cruise missiles circulated. On 23 November 2023, the [[German Federal Ministry of Defence]] announced that an additional four IRIS-T SLM medium-range air defense systems would be supplied to Ukraine as part of a military aid package worth more than €1.3 billion (US$1.4 billion). The systems will be supplied from 2025.
