In July 2015, [[Jean-Claude Casanova]], the former president of the ''Foundation Nationale des Sciences Politiques'', the private trust which manages Sciences Po, was fined €1500 for failing to properly consult the Foundation's Administrative Council over budgeting decisions involving public money. In February 2016, the Court of Audit noted that reforms had been made, but stated that greater transparency was still needed.
