===Bengali=== The causative verbs are called {{Transliteration|bn|ISO|prayōjaka kriẏā}} ({{lang|bn|প্রযোজক ক্রিয়া}}) in [[Bengali language|Bengali]]. In the simplest way, the causative form of a verb can be formed by adding the suffix {{Transliteration|bn|ISO|"-nō"}} {{lang|bn|নো}} with the verbal noun form of the given verb. *{{Transliteration|bn|ISO|dēkhā}} {{lang|bn|দেখা}} 'to see' → {{Transliteration|bn|ISO|dēkhānō}} {{lang|bn|দেখানো}} 'to show/to cause someone to see'. *{{Transliteration|bn|ISO|khāōẏā}} {{lang|bn|খাওয়া}} 'to eat' → {{Transliteration|bn|ISO|khāōẏānō}} {{lang|bn|খাওয়ানো}} 'to feed/to cause someone to eat'. From the verbal root ({{Transliteration|bn|ISO|dhātu}} {{lang|bn|ধাতু}} in Bengali) perspective, the formation of causatives is done by adding the suffix {{Transliteration|bn|ISO|"-ā"}} {{lang|bn|-আ}} with the verb roots ending with a consonant, and the suffix {{Transliteration|bn|ISO|"-ōẏā"}} {{lang|bn|ওয়া}} with those roots ending with a vowel. Thus, the verbal root transformations of the two previously mentioned verbs are: *{{Transliteration|bn|ISO|dēkh}} {{lang|bn|দেখ্}} → {{Transliteration|bn|ISO|dēkhā}} {{lang|bn|দেখা}} *{{Transliteration|bn|ISO|khā}} {{lang|bn|খা}} → {{Transliteration|bn|ISO|khāōẏā}} {{lang|bn|খাওয়া}} These verb roots are thereafter inflected with tense, aspect and mood.
