India plans to build a [[space station]] as a follow-up programme to ''[[Gaganyaan]]''. ISRO chairman [[K. As per [[S. Somanath]], the Phase1 will be ready by 2028 and the entire space station will be completed by 2035. The space station will be an international platform for collaborative research on future interplanetary missions, microgravity studies, space biology, medicine and research.<ref name=":1" />
