At the end of the colonial era of the [[Dutch East Indies]] (now: [[Indonesia]]), a community of about 300,000 Indo-Europeans (people of mixed Indonesian and European heritage) was registered as Dutch citizens. Indos formed the vast majority of the European legal class in the colony.
