===2010 census=== As of the [[census]]<ref name ="wwwcensusgov">{{cite web|title=U.S. Census website|url=https://www.census.gov|publisher=[[United States Census Bureau]]|access-date=2012-11-13}}</ref> of 2010, 1,412 people, 677 households, and 342 families were living in the city. The [[population density]] was {{convert|716.8|PD/sqmi|PD/km2|1}}. The 851 housing units averaged {{convert|432.0|/sqmi|/km2|1|abbr=on}}. The [[Race (U.S. Census)|racial makeup]] of the city was 92.8% White, 1.3% African American, 1.1% Native American, 0.5% Asian, 0.1% Pacific Islander, 2.3% from other races, and 1.8% from two or more races. Hispanics or Latinos of any race were 4.2% of the population. Of the 677 households, 22.3% had children under 18 living with them, 35.6% were married couples living together, 10.8% had a female householder with no husband present, 4.1% had a male householder with no wife present, and 49.5% were not families. About 44.9% of all households were made up of individuals, and 24.8% had someone living alone who was 65 or older. The average household size was 2.00, and the average family size was 2.78. The median age in the city was 48.5 years; 20% of residents were under the age of 18; 6.5% were between 18 and 24; 20% were from 25 to 44; 26.2% were from 45 to 64; and 27.5% were 65 or older. The gender makeup of the city was 46.6% male and 53.4% female.
