The city is served by [[el Arish International Airport]]. The Northern Coastal Highway runs from [[El Qantara, Egypt|el-Qantarah]] at the [[Suez Canal]] through Arish to the [[Gaza–Egypt border|Gaza border crossing]] at [[Rafah]]. The city is the site of a deep-water seaport capable of serving ships up to 30,000 tonnes, the only such port on the Sinai Peninsula.
