Scenes taking place in Aspen were filmed in [[Breckenridge, Colorado]] and [[Park City, Utah]]. [[The Stanley Hotel]] in [[Estes Park, Colorado]] was transformed into the "Danbury Hotel" for the filming of the movie. The "Danbury Hotel" bar scene and staircase shot were the shots filmed there.
