====Boss 429==== [[File:Boss 429.jpg|thumb|250px|The distinctive enormous valve covers on a [[hemispherical combustion chamber|semi-hemispherical head]] Boss 429 engine]] A race-bred "[[hemispherical combustion chamber|semi-hemi]]" version of the 429 was developed for NASCAR competition, and installed for homologation in the [[Boss 429 Mustang]]. This was a very different and much heavier duty engine than the standard 429, and distinct from the two high-performance wedge-head Cobra Jet versions.
