Structural particles are used for [[grammatical relations]]. Aspectual particles signal [[grammatical aspect]]s. Modal particles express [[linguistic modality]]. Note that particles are different from {{pinyin|zhùdòngcí}} ({{lang|zh|助動詞}}; modal verbs) in Chinese.
