===2010 census===
As of the [[census]] of 2010, there were 440 people, 211 households, and 112 families residing in the city. The [[population density]] was {{convert|586.7|PD/sqmi|PD/km2|1}}. There were 272 housing units at an average density of {{convert|362.7|/sqmi|/km2|1}}. The racial makeup of the city was 92.3% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 0.2% [[African American (U.S. Census)|African American]], 3.9% [[Native American (U.S. Census)|Native American]], 0.7% [[Asian (U.S. Census)|Asian]], 0.5% from [[Race (U.S. Census)|other races]], and 2.5% from two or more races. There were 211 households, of which 16.6% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 42.2% were [[Marriage|married couples]] living together, 5.2% had a female householder with no husband present, 5.7% had a male householder with no wife present, and 46.9% were non-families. 38.9% of all households were made up of individuals, and 17.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.09 and the average family size was 2.78.<ref name="wwwcensusgov"/>

The median age in the city was 54 years. 16.6% of residents were under the age of 18; 6.2% were between the ages of 18 and 24; 16% were from 25 to 44; 30.7% were from 45 to 64; and 30.7% were 65 years of age or older. The gender makeup of the city was 51.8% male and 48.2% female.<ref name="wwwcensusgov"/>

As of the census of 2000, there were 515 people, 232 households, and 150 families residing in the city. The population density was {{convert|700.8|PD/sqmi|PD/km2|sp=us|adj=off}}. There were 301 housing units at an average density of {{convert|409.6|/sqmi|/km2|sp=us|adj=off}}. The racial makeup of the city was 97.67% White, 0.39% African American, 0.97% Native American, and 0.97% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.14% of the population.<ref name="wwwcensusgov"/>

There were 232 households, out of which 21.1% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 53.9% were married couples living together, 6.9% had a female householder with no husband present, and 35.3% were non-families. 31.5% of all households were made up of individuals, and 10.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.22 and the average family size was 2.73.<ref name="wwwcensusgov"/>

In the city, the population was spread out, with 22.3% under the age of 18, 5.4% from 18 to 24, 21.6% from 25 to 44, 27.2% from 45 to 64, and 23.5% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 46 years. For every 100 females, there were 113.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 105.1 males.<ref name="wwwcensusgov"/>

The median income for a household in the city was $25,132, and the median income for a family was $30,781. Males had a median income of $27,500 versus $22,083 for females.
