''Marrella'' is placed within the [[Marrellida]] clade of the [[Marrellomorpha]], a group of arthropods with uncertain affinities known from the [[Cambrian]] to [[Devonian]]. Within the Marrellida, is it placed as the most [[Basal (phylogenetics)|basal]] known member of the group.
