==History== {{Unreferenced section|date=June 2010}}Maxim Institute was founded on 12 November 2001 by Greg Fleming (formerly general manager of Parenting with Confidence) and [[Bruce Logan (author)|Bruce Logan]], a former Headmaster, and former Director of the New Zealand Education Development Foundation (NZEDF) in Christchurch. [[John Graham (rugby union)|John Graham]] (then [[University of Auckland]] Chancellor) also played a role in the Institute's founding.<ref>{{Cite web |title=Sir John Graham Lecture Series |url=https://www.maxim.org.nz/sir-john-graham-lecture/ |access-date=2023-12-24 |website=Maxim Institute |language=en}}</ref> After serving four years as the Institute's Director, Bruce Logan retired in 2005 and was replaced by Greg Fleming. Maxim Institute's Christchurch office closed in early 2006.
