==Limitations== The Maxwell–Boltzmann distribution assumes that the velocities of individual particles are much less than the speed of light, i.e. that <math>T \ll \frac{m c^2}{k_\text{B}}</math>. For electrons, the temperature of electrons must be <math>T_e \ll 5.93 \times 10^9~\mathrm{K}</math>. For distribution of speeds of relativistic particles, see [[Maxwell–Jüttner distribution]].
