The earliest claimed porcelain crab fossil was ''[[Jurellana]]'' from the [[Tithonian]] aged [[Ernstbrunn]] [[Limestone]] of Austria.<ref name="Schweitzer"/> However, it was subsequently determined to be a true crab.
