=== Outside the Scottish Parliament: 2016β2019 === Boyack again contested the Edinburgh Central seat in the [[2016 Scottish Parliament election]], but was defeated by [[Scottish Conservative]] leader [[Ruth Davidson]], who stood for the same constituency.
