Blending Freud and Saussure, French [[Post-structuralism|(post)structuralist]] [[Jacques Lacan]] applied structuralism to [[psychoanalysis]]. Similarly, [[Jean Piaget]] applied structuralism to the study of [[psychology]], though in a different way.
